Isabelle Janssens DVM

Isabelle Janssen is an experienced equine veterinarian and horsewoman, she has particular knowledge in the area equine reproduction

Isabelle graduated from the veterinary school in Utrecht in 2013 with a specialization in horse medicine. After graduation she gained experience through several short internships at horse clinics in The Netherlands. In 2014 Isabelle began work with a dedicated Equine Clinic. She has experience with fertility, dentistry and surgery proceedings and also does lameness examinations and home visits.

In 2019 she started consultancy work for the company  Equine Tendon Ltd. In this role she is involved in supporting veterinarian Henk Offereins DVM with the interpretation of medical files of soft tissue injuries, rehabilitation protocols and client technical support.

Isabelle is also focussing on working with foster mares to manage lactation and accepting of orphan foals. She says “It is a real privilege to watch a fostermare accept a strange foal like it is her own.”

Besides her work as a vet Isabelle has her own horses and also trains some horses for clients. She has KWPN dressage horses and Friesians and most of them are young horses to be ridden at talent cups and aptitude tests. “I started riding when I was 4 years old and never stopped since. So I love to compare my veterinary work with training horses!”

She would love to help you with your horse and get you both back on track again!
