Julie Krone

World renowned US  jockey Julie Krone is  Hall of Fame jockey and the first (and only) female rider to win a Triple Crown. She currently works as a motivational speaker and equine consultant.

We are very proud to have Julie Krone as one of our experts at the Equine Sport Academy. With 3,704 career wins, it is no exaggeration to say Julie is a legend and not only in horse racing but in all of women’s sport.

In 1993 she became the first (and so far only) female jockey to win a Triple Crown race when she captured the Belmont Stakes.  In 2000 she became the first woman inducted into the National Museum of Racing & Hall of Fame and in 2003 became the first female jockey to win a Breeders’ Cup race.

Her achievements in her riding career are too numerous to begin to mention! Since retiring in 2004 Julie has worked with younger jockeys to train the next generation. In 2019 she launched  the first annual Julie Krone Junior Jockey Camp at Long Shadows Farm in Cambridge, N.Y. in association with Long Shadows Charitable Foundation.

She is an obvious choice for any rider looking for inspiration and anyone who’s involved in horse racing. This really is an opportunity to train with one of the greatest jockeys in the sport.
